Key Outcomes
Meeting Summary
  • Participants emphasized the importance of forming the Central Asian Higher Education Area (CAHEA) to enhance academic mobility, integrate educational programs, and facilitate knowledge exchange between universities in the region.
  • Key aspects of this platform include: synergy, cooperation instead of competition, creation of a common information space, and support for student mobility and faculty exchange.
Establish a Central Asian University Alliance, which will regularly develop and support initiatives for academic cooperation and provide a mechanism for coordinating actions on key challenges.
Form a working group to develop a concept for a common educational space, including language policy, digitalization, and academic mobility issues.
Enhance cooperation with business to create educational and research programs that reflect the needs of the economy and labor market, with the goal of strengthening the practical orientation of education.
Develop programs and projects for sustainable development in Central Asia, aimed at implementing environmentally responsible practices and training personnel capable of addressing contemporary environmental challenges.
Promote academic autonomy and freedom to enhance universities’ flexibility in adapting to current challenges, encourage regional governments to create regulatory support for both private and public universities.
Establish the Central Asian Higher Education Platform (CAHEP) to promote the integration of educational programs, strengthen student and faculty mobility, and facilitate knowledge exchange.
